A Cowboys Prayer

Dear God oh please be with me.
in my time of need.
You know this thing within me,
this feeling you gave me.

I run all over everywhere,
just chase'n these ol' dreams.
I spent my last small penny,
just to try to win this thing.

So please God listen carefully,
and help me out someway,
Theres just a couple small things
I need help with today.

    Help me to beat those barrels,
    in that never ending chase.
    Help me to bend those poles,
    but not a one embrace.

    Help me to ride that bull,
    who gives me all he's got.
    Help me to rope that calf,
    a nice clean loop on top.

    Help me to dig my heels in,
    when I'm run'n with that steer,
    Help me to stay up on that horse
    When hes buck'n for those cheers.

And please God just remember,
that we all love you dear.
Keep all our friends and family
Safe and always near.
But please God one last favor,
one thing before I go.
When time is short, and stress is high,
and when they hollar GO,
Be on my team and hold me up,
for one more rodeo.

 

Just a memory
As we sit around and think,
 About all the things that were said.
We start to wonder,
 If our friendship is really dead.
We see each other less and less,
 And you know it's true.
We don't talk like we used to,
  We don't pull things out of the Blue.
We gather information,
 That we really find sad.
We talk about this problem,
 That we know is really bad.
Now we sit,
 And stare at each other.
And we dare to recall,
 Our friendship that is now,
  Just a memory
















Smiling is infectious: you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner and someone saw me grin
When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile then realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected
Let's start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected

I have a friend who's perfect 4 me
she listens to my problems
no matter how dumb they may be
i like my friend for who she is
not what she can be,
shes shy on the phone yet sometimes she'll still call
and we'd talk for hours about nothing at all
i know she'll always be there to catch me if i fall
its nice to know i have a friend thats true
who sticks out and helps me when I'm feeling blue
i can tell her my life and there she'll be
sitting right there listing to me
she has my shoulder if she ever needs to cry
and I'll sit there and help to dry her eyes
i love my friend cuz shes so true
all i want her to say is I luv u 2'
i say she hates me and that she doesn't care
but i know she does cuz she'll always be here
I'm thankful for this friend i have
and our friendship will never end
through the tough times we had
yea... thats her shes my best-friend
















It's you i see when my eyes are closed

I feel the joy around me spread
As thoughts of you fill me head

Lord there is an empty space,
that only you can replace.
It's so deep with in my heart,
as is from the very start.
 
Yet I turned my eyes astray
and found myself walking the opposite way.
The road I walked led to destruction,
my heart grew cold with bitterness and corruption.
 
And just when I thought that all was lost,
You showed me the one who payed the cost.
For MY sins you gave YOUR life,
forgiving my bitterness, anger and strife.
And as I sit in awe and wonder,
my God shouts with a glorious thunder;
